Mobile App

Get to know the Air Lab App, the companion iOS app to your Air Lab, allowing you to view live data, explore trends, and configure your device.

Installation

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap Get to download and install the Air Lab App.
  3. Once installed, open the app from your home screen.

The app requires an iPhone or iPad with Bluetooth support. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled in your device's system settings before connecting to your Air Lab.

Connecting

Tip: If you don't have an Air Lab nearby, tap Use Demo Device at the bottom of the connection screen to explore the app with sample data.

  1. Open the Air Lab App on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap Live View or Settings on the home screen.
  3. Select the Air Lab you would like to connect to from the list of discovered devices.

The app will scan for nearby Air Lab devices over Bluetooth. Each device is shown with its name and a signal strength indicator. After tapping a device, the app will establish a connection and load its data. To learn more about wireless connectivity, see Bluetooth Pairing

Live View

The Live View displays both current readings and historical charts for all six air quality parameters: CO₂, VOC, NOx, Temperature, Humidity, and Pressure.

Current Values

At the top of the screen, a grid shows the latest value for each parameter. A tendency indicator (arrow) next to each value shows whether it is rising, falling, or stable. Values that exceed a safety threshold — such as CO₂ above 1000 ppm — are highlighted in red.

Full History

Task: Open the Live View and pinch-zoom into a chart to examine a specific time period more closely.

Below the current values, a bar chart is shown for each parameter. The charts share a synchronized time scale and support several interactions:

Each chart can display statistics — minimum, maximum, and average — in the top-right corner. These can be toggled on or off under the Settings section at the bottom of the Live View.

Data Export

Tap the download button in the top-right corner to export all collected samples as a CSV file. The file includes timestamped values for all six parameters and can be shared via any app on your device.

Unified View

Tip: Rotate your device to landscape orientation for the best experience in Unified View.

From the Live View, tap the Unified View card to open a full-screen, landscape-optimized chart that overlays multiple parameters on a single time axis. This view is designed for comparing trends across different air quality metrics.

At the top of the screen, colored filter pills let you toggle individual parameters on and off. By default, CO2, VOC, and NOx are shown. Each parameter is drawn in its own row with a distinct color, making it easy to spot correlations — for example, how opening a window affects both CO2 and humidity simultaneously.

The Unified View supports the same interactions as the individual charts: pinch to zoom, pan, and long-press to scrub. When scrubbing, a crosshair appears with labeled value indicators at the intersection of each parameter line.

Settings

Tip: To learn more about MQTT and Wi-Fi integration, see Wi-Fi & MQTT. For Home Assistant setup, see Home Assistant.

Tap Settings on the home screen and connect to your Air Lab to access its configuration. Settings are organized into the following sections:
